How It Works

Step 1 — Request a Consultation

Step 2 — Build a Plan

During your consultation, we’ll talk through what you want to achieve and outline a realistic plan of action tailored to your situation. This session focuses on strategy and direction. We’ll save document review for after you’re retained our services.

Step 3 — Retain Our Services

If we determine we can assist you, we’ll outline the scope of services, associated costs, and next steps, all provided to you in writing. From there, we get to work representing your interests throughout the immigration process.

Immigration Services

Entering Canada

Visitor Visas and eTAs

Travelling to Canada to visit friends, family, or for tourism requires either a visitor visa or an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA), depending on your country of citizenship. We help ensure your application is accurate, complete, and gives you the strongest chance of approval.

Work Permits

Foreign nationals seeking to work in Canada temporarily need a valid work permit. We help employees and employers understand their options including open work permits, employer-specific permits, and permit renewals, and guide them through each step of the application process.

Study Permits

Canada attracts students from around the world, and most foreign nationals require a study permit before beginning their program. In many cases, a accompanying visa is also needed. We help students gather the necessary documentation and submit a complete application so they can focus on preparing for their studies.

Temporary Resident Permits (TRP)

A Temporary Resident Permit may allow someone who is otherwise inadmissible or out of status to enter or remain in Canada on a temporary basis. We can assess your situation and assist with preparing a TRP application.

Staying in Canada

Permanent Residency

Canada offers a range of permanent residency pathways for skilled workers, business owners, and those sponsored by family. We help you identify which programs you may qualify for such as Express Entry, Provincial Nominee Programs, or family sponsorship, and support you through the application process.

Renewal and Restoration of Status

If your permit or visa has expired or is about to expire, you may have options available to you. We help clients renew their status before it lapses, or take the appropriate steps to restore status if it has already expired.

Inadmissibility

Being found inadmissible to Canada — whether due to criminality, medical reasons, misrepresentation, or another ground — can feel like a dead end. We work with clients to understand their options, including TRP applications, rehabilitation, and other avenues for overcoming inadmissibility findings.

Family & Humanitarian

Family Sponsorship

Canadian citizens and permanent residents can sponsor eligible family members to join them in Canada through the Family Class Sponsorship program. We assist sponsors and applicants in understanding the requirements, preparing complete applications, and responding to any issues that arise during processing.

Refugee and Asylum Claims

If you are seeking asylum or refugee protection in Canada, we can provide guidance and representation throughout the process. Whether you need help understanding your rights, reviewing your claim, or full representation before the Immigration and Refugee Board, we’re here to support you.

Humanitarian and Compassionate Applications

For individuals inside Canada who do not qualify for permanent residency through standard channels but face exceptional circumstances, a Humanitarian and Compassionate (H&C) application may offer a pathway. We help clients understand whether this option may apply to them and assist with preparing a thorough application.

Citizenship Applications

Eligible permanent residents may apply for Canadian citizenship after meeting the residency requirement — typically three years within a five-year period. We help applicants understand IRCC’s requirements, prepare their application, and address any questions that come up along the way.

We also assist minors applying for citizenship with parental consent.

Supporting Your Application

Fairness Letters

If you’ve received a procedural fairness letter from IRCC requesting additional information or flagging concerns about your application, time is of the essence. We help you understand what IRCC is asking and prepare a clear, responsive reply.

Letters of Demand

If your application has been sitting well beyond standard processing times without a decision, a letter of demand to IRCC may prompt action. We can assist in engaging IRCC before pursuing litigation — a step that can save both time and expense.

Travel Documents

Non-Canadians may require a Refugee Travel Document or Certificate of Identity to travel internationally. These documents are available to Convention refugees, protected persons, stateless persons, and permanent residents in specific circumstances. We assist with applications and, where applicable, the lieu-guarantor process.

Verification of Status

If you want to take a more active role in monitoring your immigration file, we can help you understand how to track your application and what your current status means.

Labour Market Impact Assessments (LMIA)

Canadian employers who cannot find suitable Canadian candidates for a position may need a positive LMIA before hiring a foreign worker.
